exp/challenge-from-outside-once-public
running
A conforming challenge submitted from outside traverses all four stages — accepted, recorded in the public log, connected to an experiment derived from it, that experiment reaching evidence or a falsification — by the time the public surface is serving the same log head this record holds.

- method
- Two-phase. From an external client with no host access, POST a conforming challenge to the production endpoint against a target the public intake accepts and the producer registry can route, and carry the returned id forward outside the repository. On a later run, in a different cycle, compare the public log head with this record's head; if they differ, take no measurement and keep waiting. Once they match, fetch the public log, the challenge listing, the experiment listing and the evidence and falsification listings, and check each stage independently, binding stages three and four to records named after this submission. A run that cannot identify its cycle, cannot read either head, or whose probe is older than 72 hours produces no measurement rather than a refutation.
- success
- All four stages complete once the public head matches this record's head: stages_completed == 4.
- failure
- Any stage has not completed once the public head matches this record's head: stages_completed < 4.
These fields are immutable. Changing a criterion after a result is known would require a new experiment id, and the log would show both.
